Frustration instead of lust
Legends and Facts
Sexuality has been an issue for mankind for generations.
The Romans hoped to restore virility by means of songbird tongues while the ancient Greeks used bull
testicles for this purpose. Casanova swore by the power of oysters and is said to have had up to 50 oysters for
breakfast every morning! Crushed animal horns or pickled beetles – even the animal world was utilised in
trying to increase lust. Women took advantage of traditional knowledge of herbs to liven up their love life.
No doubt, sex is part of it! It is an important element of
life and an enrichment to it. However, in spite of sexual education, constant exposure and overstimulation by
the media where lust and love are concerned, sexuality still is a rather complex and complicated topic.
Sexual problems can put a considerable strain on partnerships.
Both, women and men can suffer from sexual disorders. Around 30 to 50 per cent of all American
women are said to have libido problems (lack of sexual interest / sexual dysfunctions). According to relevant
surveys, every third man aged between 40 and 70 years suffers from impaired erections. Statistically speaking, up to 8 million men in Germany are affected.
The course of the lust molecules
Sexual experience is achieved by the interplay of numerous factors. It is a complex process between body and soul.
Besides anatomic factors, sexuality is always coupled to the brain. In this, erotic stimuli, atmosphere and body sense play a major role.
Sexual stimuli act on nerve cells in the sexual centre of the diencephalon. This results in a release of different
transmitter substances which in turn cause sexual hormones (estrogen, testosterone) to be activated.
Estrogen and testosterone activate "lust molecules" which influence sexual experience. Mental and physical
stress can lead to changes in this fine-tuned cascade of hormones and to the production of stress hormones.
This results in a restricted production of sexual hormones and thus a "lust block at molecular level".
In men, these are among others impaired erection, premature or delayed ejaculation.
In women, the main problems are dryness of the vagina, orgasm problems and a lack of sexual excitement.
Diseases and risk factors that can lead to disorders:
- high blood pressure
- circulatory disturbances
- diabetes
- dyshormonism
- high cholesterol level
- alcohol, cigarette and drug abuse
- side effects of medicaments
Vicious circle
Over time, disorders and problems in sexual life can lead to a fear of failure, a strain on the self-esteem, negative expectations and avoidance of sexual encounters.
Lacking sexual pleasure can not only be due to physical factors but also mental reasons!
Libido killers and assistants
Pressure to perform well
Slogans like "Everything is possible and feasible" conveyed by the media result in a completely unrealistic idea of sexuality that is linked to high expectations. If reality turns out to be less ideal than what the so-called models show, this leads to sexual frustration.
Missing communication
Discuss your wishes and needs with your partner.
Time pressure
Forget timer and mobile phone! Scheduled love will not work. Do not force it and relax!
Reduce stress and hectic. Persons who suffer from permanent stress, either in profession or in privat, and do not provide for balance, cannot be light-hearted.
Learn to deenergize. Relaxation exercises, yoga, autogenic training and much more possibilities are very suitable.
The daily grind
Leave behind the daily grind by mutual empathy. Also partnership has to be cultivated. Take the initiative and take action together (i.e. cinema or theatre, romantic dinner, etc.). Create an appropriate atmosphere e.g. with flowers and candlelight. Do not forget your personal hygiene.
Life style
Lacking exercise impairs the general physical health.
Perseverance sport such as swimming, jogging, biking or hiking can produce relief. Regularity is important.
Get enough sleep.
A healthy diet is not only important, it can also entertain, if you intensively think about foodstuffs - their aphrodisiac (lust increasing) characteristics are sometimes amazing.
Vice
Avoid smoking, among others, it impairs circulation. If your partner does not smoke, possibly he/she will take "a smell" at you again.
Consume alcohol only "in moderation". Large amounts of alcohol can stupefy and have a negative effect on the sexual desire, whereby a "small glass" can have a stimulating effect.
Other causes
Dissatisfaction in partnership, erotical boredom, unclear sexual orientation, depressions, lack of sexual desire.
Think positively! Negative attitudes towards life can be corrected.
What can be done?
There are many possibilities to strengthen sexual potency: Pumping, injecting, lubricating and creaming. Disadvantage: Every sexual encounter has to be planned and can only be successful if the remedy applied is endorsed by the partner. Likewise, chemical substances in form of tablets can possibly produce a durable erection but do not necessarily stimulate sexual pleasure.
Despite progress and emancipation, modern sexual medicine discovers the woman only step by step although there is a need: According to a survey conducted in Germany, about 21 % of the women discuss sexual disorders with their gynaecologist.
Damiana gets you going
Indian natural medicine knows numerous lust-increasing substances, but one specific plant named "Turnera" was so highly esteemed for its potency increasing properties that for centuries it was used as a barter with the northern Indian tribes. Turnera is still commonly known as "Hierba del Venado" (stag’s herb) or "Rompe camisa macho" ("tears up man’s shirt").
Even Mr. Pemberton, the man who invented Coca Cola, developed a tonic drink containing Turnera, also named Damiana.
The active ingredient Damiana is contained in Cefagil®.
