Cefagil®
Tablets, drops, ampoules

This product information corresponds to the patient leaflet, prescribed by law in Germany, in all essential parts.
Fields of application:
according to the homeopathic principles of therapy: among that is: sexual weakness.
Note: in case of persistent, unclear or newly occurring complaints, a physician should
be consulted, since there may be underlying diseases for which a medical examination
may be essential.
Composition:
Active ingredient:
Tablets: 1 tablet contains: Turnera diffusa Ø 25 mg
Drops: 10 ml drops contain: Turnera diffusa dil. D2 10 ml
Ampoules: 1 ml (= 1 g) contains: Turnera diffusa dil. D7 1 ml
Excipients:
Tablets: lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate (Ph.Eur.).
Drops: none.
Ampoules: in order to produce an isotonic solution, sodium chloride is added.
Contra-indications:
Tablets: children and adolescents under 18 years, hypersensitivity to the active ingredient
or to one of the excipients. During pregnancy and lactation, Cefagil® should only be used
after consultation of a physician as there is not sufficiently documented empirical information available.
Drops: alcoholics, hypersensitivity (allergy) to one of the components of the pharmaceutical,
children and adolescents under 18 years. As there is not sufficiently documented
empirical information available and due to the alcohol content, Cefagil® must not be used
during pregnancy and lactation.
Ampoules: must not be used by children. During pregnancy and lactation, Cefagil® ampoules
should not be used as there is not sufficiently documented empirical information available.
Warning:
Tablets: contain lactose.
Drops: Cefagil® drops contain 70 vol.-% alcohol.
The maximum daily dose according to the dosage instruction contains up to 2.5 g alcohol
in acute cases and up to 0.6 g in chronic cases. A health risk is given among others in
patients with liver diseases, alcoholics, epileptics, patients with organic diseases of the
brain, pregnant women, during lactation as well as for children. The effect of other
medicaments can be affected or strengthened.
Dosage:
Tablets: unless otherwise prescribed, adults take 1 tablet every half or whole hour, 12
times a day at the most in acute cases. In chronic cases adults take 1 tablet once to three
times a day.
Drops: unless otherwise prescribed, adults take 5 - 10 drops every half or whole hour,
12 times a day at the most in acute cases. In chronic cases adults take 5 - 10 drops once
to three times a day.
Ampoules: unless otherwise prescribed, in acute cases inject 1 - 2 ml parenterally up to
3 times a day sc., im. or iv., in chronic cases 1 - 2 ml parenterally per day sc., im. or iv..
Kind and duration of application:
Tablets: Cefagil® tablets can be chewed or swallowed with some liquid (e.g. water).
Drops: Cefagil® drops can be taken undiluted or diluted with some liquid (e.g. water).
Ampoules: The content of the ampoule is injected subcutaneously, intramuscularly or intravenously.
Even homeopathic remedies should not be taken over a longer period of time without
consulting a physician.
Undesirable effects:
none known.
Note: existing complaints may temporarily appear to become worse when homeopathic
agents are taken (initial aggravation).
