Tablets, drops, ampoules

This product information corresponds to the patient leaflet, prescribed by law in Germany, in all essential parts.
 
Fields of application:
adenoma of the prostate (stage 1), micturition disorders, congestive prostatitis, hyperemia of the small pelvis.
 
Composition:
Active ingredients:
Drops: 100 g (= 98 ml) contain: ethanol. extract (1:1) from Fruct. Sabal. serr. 0.5 g, Herb. Solidaginis (stand. on at least 15 mg total flavonoids, calc. as rutoside) 1.5 g, Sem. Hippocastani (stand. on at least 100 mg escin) 2.5 g.
Tablets: 1 tablet contains: dry extracts from Sabalis serrulatae fructus (4:1) 1.25 mg, Solidaginis herba (stand. on at least 0.2 mg total flavonoids, calc. as rutoside) 3.75 mg, Hippocastani semen (stand. on at least 0.75 mg escin) 6.25 mg.
Solution for injection: 1 ml contains: ethanol. extract (1:1) from Herb. Solidaginis 1.5 mg, Sem. Hippocastani 2.5 mg, Ethanol. extract (1:2) from Fruct. Sabalis serrul. 1 mg.
 
Excipients:
Drops: ethanol, liqueur wine.
Tablets: lactose monohydrate, maltodextrin, maize starch, talc, gelatin powder, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate.
Solution for injection: sodium chloride, water for injection.
 
Contra-indications:
none known.
 
Warning:
Cefasabal^® drops contain 20 vol.-% alcohol.
 
Dosage:
Drops: unless otherwise prescribed, adults take 20 - 30 drops 3 - 4 times daily.
Tablets: unless otherwise prescribed, adults take 2 tablets with some liquid 4 times a day.
Solution for injection: unless otherwise prescribed, intramuscular, intracutaneous, subcutaneous or intravenous injection of 1 - 2 ml daily.
 
Kind and duration of application:
Drops: Cefasabal^® drops can be taken undiluted or diluted with some liquid, e.g. water.
Tablets: Cefasabal^® tablets can be swallowed with some liquid e.g. water.
Solution for injection: the content of the ampoule is injected subcutaneously, intracutaneously, intramuscularly or intravenously.
 
Undesirable effects:
Tablets/Drops: the components Fruct. Sabal. serr. and Semen Hippocastani shall be able to cause complaints resp. irritation of the mucosa of the gastro-intestinal tract in very rare cases. Up to now, these undesirable effects have not been observed with the finished preparation Cefasabal^®.
